Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective July 18, 2026. This policy covers health-related information collected through this website. It describes what we actually do today, and nothing more.
Why an email address gets its own policy
Banyan Grove Health Collective is a cooperative being built by and for multiple myeloma patients. Because of that, joining our email list can suggest something about your health or the health of someone close to you. We treat that inference as consumer health data and protect it accordingly, even though an email address alone wouldn't normally qualify.
What we collect
The join form on this site collects one thing: your email address. We deliberately ask for nothing else. No name, no diagnosis, no connection to myeloma.
The information request form on our strategy page collects a name, email, organization, a reason category, and an optional message. It's meant for researchers, funders, and potential partners, and it asks nothing about health.
The member platform doesn't exist yet. When it launches, it will carry its own consent process and an updated version of this policy before any health record is collected.
What we don't collect
This site sets no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party cookies. Fonts and charts are served from our own domain. We will never place advertising technology on any page of this site.
Who processes it
Two service providers touch this website's data. Kit (also known as ConvertKit) stores our email list and sends our updates. Netlify hosts the site and, like any web host, keeps standard server logs. We have no affiliates, and no one else receives your information.
What we will never do
We don't sell your information, and we won't share it for advertising. We won't change this policy retroactively: if our practices change, the new policy applies from its effective date forward, and collecting anything new will require asking you first.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, stop our emails, or have your information deleted entirely, including from Kit. Write to dd@banyangrovehealth.org and we'll respond within 30 days. Every email we send also carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
If we ever decline a request, we'll explain why, and you can reply to ask us to take a second look.
Changes and contact
Changes to this policy appear on this page with a new effective date. Questions go to dd@banyangrovehealth.org. This policy is maintained by Banyan Grove Health Collective, a Colorado cooperative in formation.
